I would like to thank all Instructors, Students and Parents for participating in Saturdays combined Weapons and Breaking Seminar. The first hour was decticated to a brief historical review and use of the Filipino Martial Art Eskrima Sticks, the Japanese Yonshakubo, and the Chinese weapon Nunchaku. The originality and use of these weapons are important to all martial artsist enrolled at Steve's TKD Jidokwan to better understand their traditional and modern day purposes. The second part of this seminar was directed at the philiosphy and applied technique of breaking wood for demonstration purpopes only. I want to reiterate that this should not be done at home without proper instruction from professionally trained individuals. As most of you witnessed, alot of time went into each particiapant instructing them with how to positoin their body, relative ergonomics, and Ki development for harnessing power.Pictures of this event will be posted shortly.
