Low Impact Stress Managment

Steve's TKD, Jidokwan offers stress-management instructions through a low impact exercise developed by Grand Master Miller in 2007, known as "Jidokwan-Chi".  

Jidokwan, (Way of Wisdom-Martial Art) originally founded by Chun, Sang Sup of Korea in 1946 as one of the primary systems of Korean self-defense, which united under the direction of Taekwondo.

Grandmaster Miller's studies of Jidokwan have been under the direction of 5th Grandmaster Lee, Chong Woo; Master Kim,  K. Jong; Korean Jidokwan President Lee, Sung Wan; and, American President, Sr. Grand Master Suggs, R. Ronald-9th Dan.

Chi, a Chinese term for life energy or spirit also known as "Japanese Ki" promotes internal energy flowing in channels around the body. Combining Jidokwan habits or ways at a low impact level with Chi can promote improved health both mentally and physically.

The cost of instructions / development can be incoporated with private lessons studying several other disciplines of mixed martial arts at $45.00 per hour for non-school members and $40 per hour for active-school members per hour begining September 1, 2008.

Disciplines / Training techniques avalible for private studies are:

 1) Jidokwan Chi (low impact stress management) 

 2) Health and Fitness (nutrient, stretching, cardio, and weight lifting)

 3) Pyoung Poomse (Forms [Palgwe / Taeguk])

 4) Hapkido (Self-Defense [falls, throws, and hand /arm locks)

 5) Point Sparring / Continues for Competition

 6) WTF-Taekwondo Competition Sparring

 7) Gup-Belt Training: Yellow Belt-Deputy Black Belt

 8) Advanced Black Belt Training: 1st Dan through 5th Dan

San Diego Grand International Results

The 2007 Grand Internationals hosted by Tom Georgion's Pro Kenpo Martial Arts turned out to be an exciting weekend in San Diego for the students of TKD Jidokwan. All ten competitors that participated in the weekend event held on May 19-20, 2007, placed respectively. In addition, our first place winner, Iasura Barilas fought for the Women's Grand Champion (1 of 6 fighters), however; lost her first and only match offered in this division of elite competitors. Listed below are the results of this competition. The group is now preparing for the upcoming Long Beach Internationals coming in July, 2007.
