On June 29, 2012, GM Miller traveled to Swissh Home, Oregon to test for his 8th Dan United Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation, and World Taekwondo Federation, 4th Dan. To his surprise and honor, Sr Grand Master Ronald Suggs (GM Suggs) promoted GM Miller to 9th Dan United Taekwondo Jidkwan Federation. February, 2013 will mark GM Miller's 36 years as a Black Belt, 40 years as a Mixed Martial artist and 27 of those years as a student and friend of GM Suggs.
October 6, 2012 marks Andy Vences professional boxing debut with a unanimous decision over his opponent; the event took place at Sacramento's Memorial Auditorium. The win is tribute to both he and his father Freddy Vences, hard work focus, and determination for shared success in the boxing arena. Additionally, the event was televised by ESPN Fox Sports supporting 6 other bouts. What a way to start a career Andy! TKD Jidokwan is proud to be part of Andy's career as we have been following him through his National and Olympic Qualifying events. Now we look forward to his professional career.
